Hello!
I’m Hannah, a qualified Dental Prosthetist providing mobile denture care across South-East Melbourne. My career in dentistry began chairside as a dental nurse before progressing into dental technology as a technician, and now clinical prosthetics. This progression has helped me approach denture care with a complete start to finish perspective — understanding patient needs, technical design and anatomic function at every stage.Travelling to a clinic is not always easy. That’s why I bring portable clinical equipment to your home or aged care facility, so that treatment can be provided comfortably where you are.

How does a mobile denture appointment work?
I bring portable clinical equipment to your home or aged care facility and provide treatment in a comfortable, well-lit space. All infection control procedures are followed as in a clinic setting.
Which areas do you service?
I provide mobile denture care across Bayside & surrounding South-East Melbourne areas. If you are unsure whether your suburb is included, please contact me to confirm availability.
Do you visit aged care facilities?
Yes. I regularly provide care in aged care homes and can coordinate with staff and family members where required.
Do I need a referral from a dentist?
Not usually. However, if extractions are planned or there are remaining teeth that require fillings, a dental check-up may be recommended before denture treatment begins.
What do I need to prepare before the appointment?
A small, well-lit space with access to a power point is ideal. This could be a dining area, lounge room, bedroom or any clear space where equipment can be set up comfortably. I will bring all necessary clinical equipment and materials with me, so there is nothing further you need to organise. For safety and infection control purposes, young children and pets should be kept away from the treatment area during the appointment to prevent contamination of clinical materials and reduce the risk of accidental injury.
Does someone else need to be present during the appointment?
For home visits, it is generally preferred that a second adult is also home during the appointments. This may be a family member, carer or support person. However, arrangements are considered on a case-by-case basis. If you live alone, please let me know when booking and we can discuss a suitable and safe arrangement, including the option of bringing another staff member to attend.
How long will the appointment take?
Most appointments range between 45 minutes and 1.5 hours depending on the treatment required. New denture appointments may take slightly longer. I always allocate adequate time so you never feel rushed.
How many appointments are required for new dentures?
For new full or partial dentures, approximately 4–5 appointments are usually required. These typically include impressions, bite records, a try-in stage (a preview of how the dentures will look and fit) and final fitting. Appointments are generally spaced about one week apart to allow for laboratory processing. In urgent circumstances, treatment may be completed within a shorter timeframe where clinically appropriate.
How long do dentures usually last?
With proper care, dentures generally last between 5–10 years. Over time, natural changes in the shape of the mouth may mean a reline is required. A reline involves adding acrylic to the fitting surface of the denture so it adapts comfortably to these changes.
Can you adjust dentures made by another clinic?
Yes. Adjustments and relines can usually be provided regardless of where the dentures were originally made.
Do you provide free consultations before starting treatment?
The first appointment is an 011 Comprehensive Oral Examination, where I check your mouth and dentures and talk with you about what help you need. The consultation fee is $60. After the assessment, you will receive a clear written quote and explanation of your options. There is no obligation to proceed, and treatment will only begin if you choose to go ahead. If you decide to proceed with new dentures, a 30% deposit is required to begin laboratory work and clinical preparation. This deposit goes toward the total cost of your treatment.
Do you charge travel fees?
Travel is included within my regular service area. If you are outside this area, I will let you know before your appointment if a travel fee is needed. I will always discuss this with you first so there are no surprises.
Do you confirm appointments beforehand?
Yes. I will personally call the day before your appointment to confirm the time and briefly discuss the purpose of the visit. This ensures the appropriate time has been allocated and everything is prepared for your treatment.
Can I claim through my private health fund?
Yes. If you have eligible private health insurance, I can process your claim on the spot using HICAPS so you only pay the gap amount.
Do you offer DVA services?
Yes, DVA Gold Card holders are welcome. Eligibility will be confirmed prior to treatment.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes. Afterpay (four interest-free instalments, due fortnightly) and Medipay (up to 48 months) are available to help make treatment costs more manageable.
